About JuniorGym

 

Junior Gym Club, based in St Albans, started its first after school club in 2004 and has grown ever since to running lunch clubs, after school clubs and holiday gym days.

 

Sessions are run by Head Coach Mark Westley and a team of qualified coaches.

During term-time, we work towards the British Gymnastics Proficiency Award Scheme as well as other floor, vault and apparatus based skills. We also work on flexibility and strength exercises to help progress these skills.

 

During the holiday sessions we have the time to work towards these aims during the day as well as playing gymnastics based games.

​

Junior Gym Club also provides term time classes for schools, working alongside teaching staff in their Continuous Professional Development. Teaching the children basic skills and working with the teachers allows everyone's confidence to grow in following and delivering the National Curriculum.
